About the Tutor
Meet Nadia Frolova, the mastermind behind the beginner's ceramics workshops. As a seasoned ceramic artist with a background in 9 years of art education, 8 years of analytical therapy, and 17 years of hands-on creative experimentation, Nadia has developed a unique and supportive teaching approach that empowers anyone to transform their ideas and emotions into beautiful art objects. Born in Togliatti, Russia, and now based in Lisbon, Nadia graduated with an MFA from Togliatti State University of Graphic Design, pursued postgraduate studies in Urban Design at the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in Germany, and holds an MA in Glass and Ceramics from Belas-Artes, Universidade de Lisboa. The workshops take place in Nadia's personal studio, offering students a unique opportunity to learn directly from her extensive experience.
Sculpting Basics: Vase

In this workshop, you'll craft a sculptural vase with relief decorations, reflecting your unique aesthetic vision. The morning session from 10:00 to 12:30 includes both forming the vase's main body using coil and pinch techniques and a lecture on contemporary artists to inspire your work. The afternoon session from 13:30 to 15:30 focuses on adding relief elements and final touches. After firing, your vase will be ready for collection in about three weeks.

No, you don't. You don't need to be experienced in ceramics or any other form of art. This course is designed for people of all levels, even those who have never crafted anything with their hands before.
Throughout the course, you will have unlimited access to clay and paints. All firings are also included.
Over the past year and a half, I have taught more than 200 people. There has never been a case where someone couldn't create something. I can guarantee that you will be able to make ceramics with me.
